This wallpaper is created by adding a torus (object's shape) and by giving the appropriate segment sizes , select the loop selection tool and select loops or select segments according to your need.

But first you need to give your object a material colour .if you want your image to be more attractive,we recommend you to use the primary material (here glossy black) more shiny (reflecting) with a little of hardness (you can find this on material editor). Then create new material ( secondary material, here white ) .Then on material editor select illuminating.You should create a floor.Then turn on global illumination .
